Hiroko Ikeda
has been the owner and president of Shinju Pearl Ltd for more than
27 years. She imports AAA-quality pearls from her family pearl farm
in Ise, Japan. The Ise farm has been cultivating gem-quality pearls
for 76 years.
Miss Ikeda spent
her childhood in Japan, where she was immersed in the world of pearl
cultivation. At a very early age, she learned to appreciate the
gems
unique natural beauty. When she moved to the United States as a
young adult, she put her experience to use by founding Shinju Pearl.
The company has grown to international prominence for its high-quality
pearls and award-winning jewelry design.
Miss Ikeda graduated
from the Gemological Institute of America and is a member of Jewelers
of America and Cultured Pearl Association of America. She has consulted
on gem-quality pearls with the U.S. Customs Service, National Geographic
magazine, and several news publications. Miss Ikeda will happily
discuss all of your personal pearl needs with you personally.

Pearl is an outstanding professional staff. World-famous English
designer Steve Clark, GIA graduate gemologist Dena Anderson, and
Emma Villedrouin all design, fashion, and handcraft many of Shinjus
special creations. Our other designers meticulously string and repair
pearl jewelry. Manager and Vice President Dena Anderson will be
pleased to share her expertise and her eye for value. All of Shinjus
